Wiki Loves Earth is an international photography competition that promotes natural heritage sites around the world through Wikimedia projects, primarily Wikipedia and Wikimedia Commons.

This is the fifth time Nigeria will be participating in the contest, which will be held from 1 June — 31 July 2025. In the first and second editions, over 1,000 quality images were uploaded by participants in Nigeria.

Everyone is welcome to get involved—whether as a participant (photographer), organizational volunteer, or both. Join us in contributing free-licensed images of Nigeria’s natural heritage.

Since 2017, over 8,000 images have been uploaded by 1,052 contributors from Nigeria.
