The Monthly Outstanding Editor Recognition (MOER) is an initiative of Wikimedia UG Nigeria to honor and acknowledge the remarkable efforts of Nigerian volunteer editors who tirelessly dedicate their time and resources to enriching the Wikimedia ecosystem.

Every month, the initiative will design a mechanism to identify the highest contributor in each small Wikipedia representing Nigeria's indigenous languages (English inclusive). The initiative will help recognize outstanding contributions, motivate members to remain focused on the core objective of the community, and help create bonding among the country's different languages and community members.
