Aborisade Adetola

Adetola is the founder and Executive Director of Child and Green Foundation, a charity organization working towards alleviating poverty and fostering sustainable development among communities in Nigeria. With over 9 years of experience under his belt, Adetola is well-versed in key humanitarian and public health processes. His training and work on the United Nations MDG goals during his NYSC in 2010 (and the revised SDG goals) have enhanced his advocacy work with the Rivers State government and Nigerian Red Cross. Additionally, he is currently working in the Ministry of Work in Rivers State as a civil engineer.

Ashioma Medi is a seasoned professional with a strong background in Chemistry, business analysis, and management. With over 5 years of experience in open source projects, he has developed a comprehensive skill set and a deep understanding of the intricacies of analyzing complex data sets and deriving actionable insights. He holds a bachelors degree in Chemistry and a masters degree in Organic Chemistry from the Delta State University and the University of Ibadan, respectively. He joined the Wikimedia movement in 2017 and has since been an integral part of the Nigerian community. Aside from the Wikimedia movement, he is an affiliate of Creative Commons, a member of the Google Developers Group as well as other open source communities. In May 2023, he became the Grants Officer of Wikimedia Nigeria Foundation
Adenike BakarE
Adenike Bakare is a Digital Strategist and an Open Knowledge Advocate. She is a graduate of the University of Ilorin, where she studied Marketing. Adenike has worked across several digital organizations where she uses her tech skills including programming, design thinking and data analytics to solve digital problems. Adenike Bakare has been involved in open knowledge advocacy. She is currently the Content Curator of Wikimedia User Group Nigeria where she promotes the use of Wikipedia and other Wikimedia projects, particularly in Nigeria and across Africa. She is a prolific writer who believes she can enact educational and social change using writing as a tool. Her commitment to these endeavours speaks about her passion for humanity and her role in disseminating knowledge to drive a positive impact in society

Barakat Adegboye, also known as Ridzaina, is a Wikimedia volunteer from Nigeria. She joined the movement in 2021 and has gathered experience as a facilitator and editor across various Wikimedia projects, including Wiki Loves SDGs, WikiGLAM, 1lib1ref, Wiki Loves Libraries and Libraries, Building Open Culture Community for Sustainable Open Licensing Practices in Nigeria and more. Ridzaina has been actively involved in initiatives promoting Nigerian literature and culture and has served as a facilitator for Reading Wikipedia in the Classroom programs. She is also the project lead for Let's Connect Peer Learning Program in Kwara. In addition to her Wikimedia contributions, she is a photographer and digital artist. Ridzaina holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Education from the University of Ilorin and currently serves as the Lead Communication and Treasurer at Africa Wiki Women and also the Programs Lead Intern at the Wikimedia Nigeria Foundation

Rhoda James is a Wikimedia volunteer from Nigeria. She joined the movement in 2020 and has gathered experience as a facilitator and editor across various Wikimedia projects, including Wiki Loves SDGs, WikiGLAM, 1lib1ref, Wiki Loves Libraries and Libraries, Building Open Culture Community for Sustainable Open Licensing Practices in Nigeria and more. She led the Reading Wikipedia in the Classroom for Secondary School Students in Kwara State 2022, Reading Wikipedia in the Classroom Kwara 2.0, EverybookitsReader (Promoting Nigerian Books and Authors 2023), Wikidata for Nigerian Books and Authors, etc. She has participated as a facilitator in the following programs: Let's Connect Peer Learning Program in Kwara (2022&2023/2024), Reading Wikipedia in the Classroom Lagos, Celtic Knot, etc. She enjoys reading, designing and exploring.
