Associate membership
An associate member is anyone interested in wikimedia work/projects
full membership
A full member is an associate member for at least one year, they
must have registered with the User Group and supports the programs of the
user group.
Fellow membership
A fellow is anyone who has distinguished themself in their work to
support WUGN.
Honorary membership
An honorary member is someone who has distinguished
themselves in the society
Associate membership
An associate member is anyone interested in Wikimedia work/ project. They do not have to be a heavy contributor and do not need to work with the Wikimedia User Group Nigeria. The base requirement for an associate member is to register
full membership
A full member is an associate member for at least one year, they must have registered with the User Group and supports the programs of the user group. They will typically be someone who has volunteered to host events or support event hosts. They will be current editors, with at least 1,000 edits. A member will need to register via www.wikimedia.org.ng. A member will have a membership number, profile, membership ID and they will have voting rights. They will also have to pay a membership due which confirms their their membership.The full member can request for a reference letter from WNF.
Fellowship membership
A fellow is anyone who has distinguished themself in their work to support WUGN. A fellow must have been a member for at least one year, received international recognition for work well done and must have led projects that have brought recognition to Nigeria. All the requirements for a member apply to a fellow. A fellow must have consistently contributed to our community for at least 3 years.
Honorary membership
An honorary member is someone who has distinguished themselves in the society. They do not have to be members of WUGN or editors, but their work must support the open movement or the Wikimedia movement. This level of membership is to honour the good works or contribution the recipient has done
